Requirements

It's easy to join Doors2Stores. The requirements are:

• owning an established eBay Store (open at least six months)
• having a record in good standing
• Store and listings in compliance with eBay policy and guidelines
• a commitment to customer service
• a desire to educate others about eBay Stores; and
• a willingness to add a Doors2Stores banner to all your eBay listings.

Joining the Doors2Stores (D2S) community will give you the opportunity to increase your exposure and sales, such as:

• Free exposure on D2S website and eBay D2S Me Page
• Additional free exposure for D2S members on the Avid Cat shopping mall
• Educating Buyers about shopping eBay Stores (bringing business to you and the Stores community)
• Adds volunteerisim spirt to your listings and ME Page
• Participate in the D2S Blog
• Option to have a D2S Member Blog of your own (coming soon)
• Access to D2S Member Only Resources (coming soon)

Understanding the Doors2Stores Concept

Doors2Stores is not a shared link exchange.  It is important that you understand D2S is a group of eBay Store owners who understand the importance of educating eBay Buyers, while trying to promote our Store Inventory items.  In fact, the most important part of the Doors2Stores campaign is to educate eBay Buyers on how to search for Store Inventory or D2S items.

Educating Buyers is to your advantage.  Having our banner in your listings results in a return of Store Inventory items on eBay searches (and Avid Cat).  However, if eBay Buyers do not know how to search for Store items, this benefit to you is ineffective.  Thus, the importance of the Doors2Stores campaign.

How do you educate Buyers?  Don’t think you have time?  This doesn’t take much time on your part.  Simply adding an additional D2S tag on your Me page is a start and you could also add this to your outgoing emails or newsletters.  The "Find a Store" tag is the simplest way to show Buyers how to find store items, the link brings them to our home page which contains various ways to search, along with print screens.

Why do we ask that you include the D2S banner in all of your listings?  This produces an accurate total number of listings by D2S members through various searches.  These numbers are important because not only do they validate the entire program, but in the future these numbers may be useful if we have to approach eBay with the concerns or problems of Store owners.

Information you will need to supply

You will need to supply the following information:

• The name of your eBay Store
• Your eBay Store URL
• Your eBay User ID
• A short "blurb" about your store (60 characters or less)

Where to register

Due to the busy holiday season and limited volunteers (who also have their own stores), we will not be able to accept new members until January 2008.

How you will be notified

We will email you once your registration has been accepted, usually within two to four weeks from your submission.  This Banner and Code email will include links to easy-to-understand instructions for adding Doors2Stores linked banners to your listings, Store pages, Me page, emails, etc. The instructions will include the full html code you will need.  If you don't receive this email within four weeks, please check your spam folder first, before you re-contact us.

When your store will be added

Your store name and link will be added to the Store link table on both the Doors2Stores Me page and website once your listings include the Doors2Stores banner.  Most new entries will appear within four weeks from date of the Banner and Code email, but please be patient if it takes longer.

Revise or Cancel Existing Entry

Send an email to info@doors2stores.com with "Update Doors2Stores Existing Entry" as the subject line.

Please be sure to include the following information:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Advise if a revision or closure
• The name of your eBay Store; if changing your eBay Store name; include both the old and new name
• Your eBay Store URL
• Your eBay User ID
• If changing your store "blurb" be sure to keep to 60 characters or less
